Before the Los Angeles based four piece Warbly Jets came to be, the group only consisted of New York founding members, Julien O'neill and Samuel Shea. In 2015 the duo headed west to record, only for deals to fall through. Instead of heading back to New York the two stayed in California where they met Dan Gerbang (bass), and Justin Goings (drums).
With a new single released inspired by their own experiences with the music industry -- "The Lowdown" is Warbly Jets' way of asserting that they got where they are on their own. It is meant to be a "call out" to the music business at large - a rigged game that recognizes streaming numbers more than ingenuity or talent.
In anticipation of their two night residency we are hosting at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right, we spent an afternoon getting to know the Warbly Jets at Ultrasound Studios at home in LA.
