Love in Low Light
Photographed by Marisa Chafetz
So if nothing-
If this bed is all I have for now
The warm lights outside lull me to sleep
And the inside of this room looks the way
I'd always imagined a winter in love would
And I remember being alone, with the
sound of la vie en rose, and the tears
come sweet and familiar.
The universe keeps giving me blue so i'll
take this tangerine,
Peaches and cream,
warm Windows, and things that look
better from the inside.
It's ok to look better from the inside.
I must be gentle to myself when the cold
Being resilient has never found me in love,
