Irina Gusakova, a fashion and textiles designer based in Glasgow, that specializes in womenswear and print releases her first line since her graduation from the Fashion and Textiles Masters program at the Glasgow School of Art.

The idea for her collection stemmed from the designer's fascination with visual perceptions and illusions. Aiming to create striking visual experiences through eye-tripping patterns, she referenced Op Art and artists like Bridget Riley and Rafael Soto - whose works dealt a lot with sensations of movement and rhythm.

Silhouette-wise the collection is inspired by clean and crisp lines of 60‘s A-line shapes which are supplemented by deep box pleats and folds that help to further enhance the optically illusory effect of the prints.
